“A unique campus for differently abled”

Karunyatheeram Special School

Karunyatheeram has been established in 2010 and registered under General Education Department Govt. of Kerala (Reg No. 806/13/17).  Is a space for nurturing differently abled children who is less than 18 years. The school provides daily food and transportation which is free of cost, the teachers and other staff s ensures a scientific approach in imparting simple academic teachings and learning tips to enhance their skills and abilities thereby enabling them to lead a better life. Here, the children with multiple disabilities are being treated with academic education, special skill development training, healthcare and fitness training, counseling, etc.

The students are provided education with the help of special educators.  The ratio of educators for students is 1:8. Individualized Education Programmes are also provided for the necessary ones.

Karunyatheeram Vocational Training

Vocational training is provided for the specially disabled students above 18 years and are given job oriented training based on their interests and abilities which equip them to do specific jobs and become self-dependent. They are being trained in Screen Printing Jewelry Making Fashion Designing Phenyl Making, Seed Pen Making and Agriculture.

Karunyatheeram Job Unit

It provides each student with a dependable engagement which gives them financial benefits as well as a sense of self dependency. The trained students of Karunyatheeram find a source of income to meet their daily expenses. The profits received by this unit are equally distributed among the workers (trained PWD students) which provide them in receiving a small earning.
